Provocative Energies take hold of our minds and through Their mysterious Natures, neutralize the incessant superficial and repetitive thought processes which keep us in bondage.
We women must become The Great Goddess that we already are as Her forms come to work through us. The Ten Wisdom Forms of the Goddess: each a specific approach to an Intelligence beyond time and transient identity. We do not approach these Female Knowledge Forms superficially or casually. We women must become The Great Goddess that we already are as Her forms come to work through us. The Ten Wisdom Forms of the Goddess: each a specific approach to an Intelligence beyond time and transient identity. We do not approach these Female Knowledge Forms superficially or casually. This meditation series is offered humbly, with reverence, as a simple beginner’s introduction to The Ten Forms; if inspired to learn more, continue your spiritual learning on your own. Blessed be.

In each Sunday’s forty-five minute meditation, we will:

• drum, purify, ground center, and attune, and invoke the spirit
• learn the particulars of the Form

This event is open to the public.  Participants need to be over 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult.  Please bring a potluck item to share afterwards.  In addition, the organization “Brigid’s Heart” is asking participants to bring toiletries to benefit the Interfaith Shelter. Brigid’s Heart is the community outreach program for OCLC.  We also welcome participants to wear ritual attire.  Raffle tickets will also be sold. NICKY SCULLY
          Author Nicki Scully has taught healing, shamanic arts and the Egyptian Mysteries for over 25 years, with thousands of practitioners internationally using her techniques. DESCRIPTION: Hindu deities: form and formless — human and other-than-human — concrete and abstract —terrifying and beautiful. Extreme, disturbing and sometimes difficult to bear – they are not meant to be merely pleasant divinities for us to enjoy. The Ten Wisdom Forms of the Goddess – ambiguous, contradictory, paradoxical, frightening and lovely --- help us to look deeper into ourselves by sometimes shocking the mind into awakening. Provocative Energies take hold of our minds and through Their mysterious Natures, neutralize the incessant superficial and repetitive thought processes which keep us in bondage.
We women must become The Great Goddess that we already are as Her forms come to work through us. The Ten Wisdom Forms of the Goddess: each a specific approach to an Intelligence beyond time and transient identity. We do not approach these Female Knowledge Forms superficially or casually. This meditation series is offered humbly, with reverence, as a simple beginner’s introduction to              The Ten Forms; if inspired to learn more, continue your spiritual learning on your own. In each Sunday’s forty-five minute meditation, we will:

• drum, purify, ground center, and attune, and invoke the spirit
• learn the particulars of the Form
• honor the Form with oil, incense, flame, milk, and flowers
• chant the mantra of the Form

Our guest priestess shares: “For more than 2000 years Mary Magdalene has fascinated and intrigued the psyche of religious leaders, authors, artist, men and women all over the world. Few people agree on exactly who she was…certainly ‘The Magdalene’ stands in the mind as a controversial woman. Yet, after all the confusion, Mary continues to be a source of spiritual inspiration for millions of people. The question to ponder is, why?
She was the first to see the arisen Christ. Five hundred years later she was labeled a prostitute by a Pope. Fourteen hundred years later, the Vatican cleared her of the old false label. Recently, novels, lost gospels and movies have rekindled her as a controversial topic of interest.
This Easter Sunday hear several thought provoking theories of who Mary Magdalene may have been from the view of: Traditional Christians, Gnostics, Apostles, Holy Grail Bloodline, Lost Feminine, Beloved Disciple and the Temple Priestess theories.
Together, we will share information gathered in my recent pilgrimage through the South of France. Hear what this regions local folk, myths, architectures and artifacts say about this astonishingly powerful woman, referred to as “The Sophia”. You will hopefully leave this day with at least one added opinion of who this woman may have been and what she unconsciously symbolizes to a world in need of Sophia (Wisdom) today.”

From the Entering Ritual at the bridge every Sunday morning, to our eight Holy Days a year, to special and unique rituals, such as the upcoming
“Un-Merchandising the Maiden” in spring of 2008, this is the core of ritual in our goddess community. This regular meeting held every two to three weeks, also serves as our basic priestess training class for The TEMPLE. All members welcome to sit in for a few meetings to see if it’s for them. DESCRIPTION: (from the instructor:) Sekhmet, Goddess of the Sssearing Sun, of Healing and Childbirth. Defender of Truth. Protector of Earth. Mistress of the fires of transformation. SHE is calling Her daughters to awaken and empower themselves. Sekhmet is not a metaphor; She is a distinct being, a form of the Great Mother who is moving to guide and aid humanity during these perilous times. This will be a powerful, visceral journey and a certain degree of personal growth work needs to have been accomplished by participants -- that is, it is not for beginners. We will work in the ancient female collective power of the shamanic circle. At the same time, the connection to Sekhmet will be direct for each woman. Shamanism was originally a female group experience, grounded in women's mysteries. Much of the circle will be spontaneous, once we have set the groundwork and are deeply connected to our bodies and to Her.
PREPARATION REQUIRED
Vajra Ma has preparatory material about Sekhmet for participants to read, so please register early enough for you to accomplish that (about an hour of reading). This advance preparation shows respect and builds strong intent which will create a portal for Sekhmet to work with us and it amplifies the power of our circle so that each woman's experience is as deeply transformational as it can be.
